We recommend that all clothes and items be removed from inside the furniture. This includes all desks, dressers, armoires, etc. This makes the furniture much lighter and easier to move. It also limits wear and tear to your furniture during the move. Generally, only light belongings (sweaters, shirts blouses, lingerie) should be in drawers - nothing heavy, breakable or anything that might leak or spill.
On local moves and moves within California or Oregon (intrastate), payment may be made by cash, personal checks, cashiers checks (certified funds), money orders and credit cards. What if I want to pack myself? New packing materials may be purchased through North Park Transfer & Storage via this website or by visiting one of our locations. We also offer, with a booked move, used material free of charge when available (supplies can be limited). Our sales staff are available to answer questions about boxes and packing and will supply you with a booklet on self packing.
With North Park Transfer & Storage, the driver will do a quick visual inspection of your home and note any existing home damage on the home condition report. Afterward, our professional movers will protect floors, door jambs, railings, etc. at the home of origin AND at the destination home. Our goal is to protect your belongings and home and make your moving day as stress-free as possible.
With North Park Transfer & Storage, all furniture is wrapped and unwrapped inside the customer's home. All upholstered furniture will be shrink wrapped and then covered with blankets, if needed, to protect them. Great care is taken to ensure your furniture and belongings will not be damaged.
