Frequently Asked Questions

Can Clothes And Other Items Be Left Inside The Furniture During The Move?

We recommend that all clothes and items be removed from inside the furniture. This includes all desks, dressers, armoires, etc. This makes the furniture much lighter and easier to move. It also limits wear and tear to your furniture during the move. Generally, only light belongings (sweaters, shirts blouses, lingerie) should be in drawers - nothing heavy, breakable or anything that might leak or spill.

How Can I Pay My Moving Bill?

On local moves and moves within California or Oregon (intrastate), payment may be made by cash, personal checks, cashiers checks (certified funds), money orders and credit cards. For long distance moves (interstate), payment may be made by cash, cashiers check (certified funds), and credit cards. For more information, write to info@northparkmoving.com.

How To Get An Estimate For Moving?

To estimate your move we encourage you to fill out our Online Estimate Form. The form is quite detailed and will remind you to include those lawn chairs or the bike in the garage that you forgot to think about. Alternatively, you can give our staff a call anytime. We will gladly set an appointment at your convenience for our experienced sales staff to visit your home to evaluate the cost and services needed for your move. This visit is free of charge and is part of our total service package.

How To Select The Right Mover?

A reputable, good mover should have a well established place of business, license and insurance. It is not wise to use a mover who is new to the business. They may not know what they're doing, or they may be a fly-by-night who was doing business under another name last month and will be doing business under yet another name next month, staying one step ahead of the law. You should also avoid any mover that is not willing to go to your home to provide you with a FREE in home estimate. You also want a mover who has been in business for a while and knows the business. Ask your mover to supply you with a few references. Satisfied customers are the best way to gauge the reliability and professionalism of a good moving company and good moving companies know that their best sales tool is a satisfied client. Also check the Better Business Bureau to see how many complaints, if any, are on file. The BBB also gives each company a rating that can give you a idea of how reputable the company is.

North Park Transfer & Storage BBB Business Review

I would recommend North Park to anyone having to move from an apartment into a new house. Your movers managed to get my furniture down 2 staircases without a scratch. There’s no way my husband and I could have ever done that. Even with the kids helping! Thanks!
